Devizes Borough Quarter Sessions These records were deposited by the Clerk of the Peace of Devizes Borough in 1957 and the Clerk of Devizes Borough Council in 1966 and 1975. The charter granted to the Borough in 1605 established the Court of Quarter Sessions, with a Recorder who was also generally the MP. But for a few strays the records for the first three hundred years of the court have not survived. | |||
