A Romano-British villa site excavated in 1983-4. | |
Details | |
A villa site with a pavement. Finds include a finger ring, a figure of a cock, a bowl of a spoon, a twisted bracelet, 4 other rings, pottery and an antoninanus of Gallenus. Excavated by E Hostetter in 1983-4. Further excavations throughout 1980s - site now published, Hostetter & Howe 1997. 59 coins came from the excavation. | |
