Details

A)'Tollard' 1086AD. B)King Johns House of c1240 restored in 1888-9 after excavation by Pitt Rivers. C)Earthworks survive at west end of village, not surveyed. D)A deer park was mentioned in 1227. It was said to be hedged and ditched in 1615.
