I was on holiday in Porton, Wiltshire and came across a burial ground just off Winterslow road. There were a couple of graves which had very faded inscriptions one said the lady in question was Hannah ? possibly daughter in law to Colonel John Rede. I'm afraid i can give you no more details than this...apparently the graveyard or burial ground has recently beeen found and cleaned up by the people of Porton.

I have recently moved to the area and am curious to know if there is any link between "the Winterslows" and "the Winterbournes"? Is it known what the origin of both these place names is?
