Moravian, Church, Grittenham

Some Independents joined the Moravian church after 1745 and met in the later eighteenth century and early nineteenth century in Vines House at Grittenham.
Vines House was formerly a farmhouse, thought to be originally seventeenth century with 1726 reordering, and nineteenth and twentieth century additions and alterations. Seventeenth century panelling runs throughout the central lower rooms, with a carved frieze.

John Wesley is reputed to have preached inside the building when it was occupied as a Moravian Church.
